The 1997 Pinot Noir Valhalla is holding its own performing better now than it did 12 months ago. Although the medium ruby color reveals amber at the edge the bouquet offers up fragrant spicy earthy complex berry scents intermixed with truffle cherries and raspberries. There is good underlying acidity as well as a long finish. Drink this 1997 over the next 6 years. Source: Wine Advocate
